Callaway have dramatically improved the overall appearance, this coupled with the superb performance makes it a great new addition to their range.

At setup the head looks fairly traditional with a square to slightly closed face. The crown slopes down beautifully from the top of the face to the back of the sole giving one the feeling this club will launch the ball easily. The slightly triangular back edge doesn’t detract from the overall appearance but instead helps to improve its stability.

The ball comes off the face with a soft/solid feel. The shaft is 45.5” long and generates very good clubhead speeds for excellent overall distance. The trajectory is mid/high and the bias is neutral to slight draw.

The new Aldila Habanero shaft has been used in this driver and has a good, responsive feel. It weighs 60g in regular with 5.3º of torque and launches the ball with a mid/high trajectory. 

FOR: An all round solid performer; great distance, easy launching and good sound and feel
AGAINST: The longer shaft will be difficult for some players to control and could lead to the trajectory being too high.
VERDICT: Ideal for mid/high handicap golfers looking for distance from a solid, forgiving all titanium driver. It will suit players who want a club that has a neutral/slight draw bias. We rated this driver 4 as it performs above average.
