One of the hottest clubs in the game right now is the new Cleveland RTX 4 wedges. It’s Cleveland’s most advanced wedge they’ve ever produced, and it’s a real game changer. Cleveland has taken the features from the RTX 3 wedges and moved them to the next level. In fact, you may well start missing greens purposely, just so that you get to use your Cleveland RTX 4 wedges.
Cleveland sharpened up the zip grooves to absolute legal limits providing you with unbelievable stopping power, even if you’re playing out the rough. Increased durability of the Zip grooves combined with the Rotex milled face, will provide you with incredible versatility and spin, no matter what type of shot you want to play.
The Rotex 4 has the same bounce options to suit various angles of attack and turf conditions, as in the previous models but with one exciting new addition. The all-new XLOW sole, which at 3 degrees, is Cleveland’s lowest ever bounce offering. If your course conditions are fairly firm or you have a very shallow angle of attack into the ball, then the chances are you’re going to love the XLOW bounce. If you’re not sure what type of angle of attack you have, Cleveland is the only company to offer a wedge fitting app in our stores that’ll show you exactly what type of bounce you should be using.
We were also pleased to see 3 finishes in the RTX 4, there is the standard traditional chrome finish as well as the black satin, for those that don’t want any glare off the clubface at address. We welcome back the Tour RAW finish, the RAW finish will rust and as a result will also provide incredible feel and greenside control, our personal favorite.
Cleveland has also redesigned the grinds on the RTX 4’s for better center of gravity placement. The Feel Balance Technology really does make a difference for us when it comes to feedback off the clubface. We hit a variety of shots where we manipulated the clubface to see if Cleveland’s claims were true and the results were very impressive. The feel offered off the clubface is something that always going to be tough to beat, something that we feel Cleveland has worked exceptionally hard to achieve.
Although the Cleveland RTX 4 wedges are aimed at the better players we think you’ll find golfers of all levels using the wedges. If you like the look of a classic blade like wedges, the Cleveland RTX 4’s will be hard to overlook. All the technology packed into these wedges will make any player only too happy to have them in their bag.
The Cleveland RTX 4 Black Satin features new face technologies, expanded grind offerings, and the most popular components used by Tour professionals, RTX 4 is the most Tour-authentic wedge we’ve ever made.
The dark finish creates the least amount of glare at address. The new PVD process is ultra-durable for a longer lasting finish. The RTX 4 features Tour Zip Grooves, aggressive face milling and even more precise laser milling, Rotex 4 generates more spin, and more consistent spin, giving you maximum short game control.
RTX 4's compact shape is a direct result of tour player feedback. Lower lofts blend with your irons for an easier transition, while higher lofts feature a traditional wedge shape for better greenside shots. The new Muscle shaping on the back of each loft progressively adjusts the centre of gravity on both the vertical and horizontal axes, enhancing feel and distance control, even when you don't strike the face centre.
