Ping G400 hybrids have a new, thinner and more flexible maraging steel face on the G400. The new face provides
higher launch angles and faster ball speeds over the previous G model. The ultra-thin crown allows Ping to save
weight and move that weight to more useful places on the head, thereby optimising the centre of gravity for
maximum forgiveness. Ping still have their eye catching turbulators which also surround the ball beautifully at
The G400 hybrid is substantially easier to hit than the Ping G hybrid, because off the added forgiveness and faster
ball speeds. The extra forgiveness from the back-weight on the G400 hybrid makes it a great alternative to long
irons for ease of launch. The Alta Counter Balance shaft, that’s the shaft that changes to from the copper colour
to black at address, allows Ping to add more weight to the head for better energy transfer from you to the head
The Ping G400 hybrid is ideal for a wide variety of players, from high handicap players looking to replace long
irons with more forgiving, easier launching hybrids, to lower handicap players looking for hybrid forgiveness with
player like workability and control with Ping’s tour shafts.
