With the introduction of the Sigma G range of putters, we are absolutely spoilt for choice! The range includes 16 different styles and a variety of different lengths ranging from 35” to 38”. Custom lengths and weights can also be ordered upon request. The return of all the popular models and the addition of some new ones means that there are just too many to discuss individually. Here’s a list for those Ping fanatics who know exactly which model they are after: Anser Black Nickel, Anser Platinum, B60, D66, Darby, Doon, Ketsch B, Kinloch, Kinloch CB, Kushin, Piper 3, Shea H, Tess, Tyne and the Wolverine T. Ping have catered for every single stroke type with multiple head shape options in each of the 3 common strokes - straight arc, slight arc and of course the strong arc player. Regardless of what option you decide to go with, they all share the same technology in the face. True Roll has evolved even further in this model, not designed to only promote end-over-end roll, but also as a “speed correction” technology. Miss-hit putts definitely roll better and end up closer to the hole when compared to traditional non-True Roll putters. In Sigma G, the True Roll insert has a more aggressive milling and a criss-cross pattern across the face which creates more surface friction and promotes roll. The faces are milled in aluminium and placed on top of a new Pebax elastomer insert inside the head. The result is incredible feel and more stability due to the reduced face weight. Sigma G is a really impressive range and we recommend it to anyone in the market for a putter.
